Edit a long video from the first cut to the export.
A multitrack timeline in the browser and on a phone, captions from the transcript, sound, titles, and color and effects with Video Pro, published to the channels you connect.
Every Video, from the first take to the post
Episodes, interviews, product videos and the films a business makes about itself.
Start
Footage, a recording or a template.
Edit
By the frame or by the word.
Sound
The mix, the voice and the beat.
Captions
Every word timed, every part titled.
Video Pro
Color, masks, keys and multicam.
Publish
Export, Shorts and the channels.
On a Phone
The same Video in your hand.
Start a Video from footage, a recording or a template
New Video opens one at once, framed 16:9 with an intro title and an end card. Drop footage on Home, or pick it from the Media bin, and it is placed. Every source and export is a file in Depot, and every Video sits in its Hubs.
The camera, the screen with the microphone, or the microphone alone, placed at the playhead.
Intro Title, Chapter Cards, Name and Role, End Card, Square Post and Audiogram.
Search, rename and file every Video, or put it on a client project, with Velocity.
Cut on a multitrack timeline, by frame or by word
Video, audio, text and adjustment tracks, with split, ripple delete, markers and the keys editors already use. The transcript sits beside the timeline: delete a word and its moment is cut, and filler words and silences go in one step.
From a quarter speed to eight times, ramps, reverse and a freeze frame.
Position, scale, rotation, opacity and crop, eased.
On one cut, or on every cut at once.
⌘/ shows them all; ⌘K finds any action.
Mix the sound, clean voices and cut to the beat
Every clip has its volume, background noise removal and music lowered under voices. The Video holds its loudness to the target you pick, streaming or broadcast. Beats found in a sound become cuts on every beat or every bar.
Clear Voice, Broadcast, Studio Clean or Warm.
Gain, a gate, an equalizer, a compressor, pan and volume keyframes.
Edit against a sound kept on the device and never exported.
Caption every word, and title every part
Transcribe and Add Captions times the words one by one, in the language spoken, with the spoken word highlighted. Titles are designed pages: a headline, a name and role, a quote, a chapter card at every marker, an end card.
Classic, Bold Pop, Boxed, Minimal, Neon and Big Center, then font, size and color.
Each title opens there, and animates in and out.
Grade, mask, key, track and cut multicam with Video Pro
Adjust grades color with wheels, levels, curves, LUTs and Auto Color, read on the scopes. Effects adds masks, chroma key, tracking, stabilizing and adjustment layers. Edit gains Multicam and Nested Sequences. A Video with Pro work always opens and plays, seat or no seat.
Waveform, RGB parade, vectorscope and histogram.
Angles synced by sound or timecode, switched on keys 1 to 9.
A selection made one sequence, used again in any Video.
Each person chooses Essentials or Pro for themselves.
Export it, make Shorts of it and publish it
Export to MP4, a YouTube frame, a vertical or square post, or audio, on the device or on Calisto’s servers. Make Shorts proposes a Video’s moments from its transcript, each made a Clip in Clips. Publish sends it to TikTok, Instagram Reels or YouTube over your own connections.
Every clip, or the ones selected, reframed to a new shape.
The Video arrives on your phone, ready to post.
A server export sends a notice, with Publish on it.
Edit the same Video on a phone, even offline
The editor takes the whole screen, with undo under the thumb, trim handles a finger wide and Make Shorts and Publish in its menu. Footage shared from the camera roll becomes a new Video. With Keep Video on this device, an edit made offline saves when the signal returns.
New Video and Library, from the Calisto app’s icon.
Home, the Library and every Video opened stay readable.
Where Video touches everything else.
3 of these 5 connections are in your plan today. The rest stay visible so you know the instrument is there before you need it.
Depot
Every source and export is a file in Depot, and every Video sits in its Hubs.

Creators
A Calisto TV video’s edit is a Video, opened from Creators.
Velocity
A Video goes on a client project, so the work shows there.

Questions about Calisto Video
The whole Edit workspace: the multitrack timeline, recording, media from Depot, audio and the beat tools, designed titles, captions from the transcript, transitions, one-tap looks and voice, templates, speed and ramps, export and publishing. Every signed-in person has it, with no plan checked.
Adjust (Color Grade with wheels, levels, curves, LUTs and Auto Color, and the scopes), Effects (masks, chroma key and Auto Key, tracking and stabilizing, adjustment layers), and Multicam and Nested Sequences in Edit. A Video Pro seat is one person’s, and it adds its Depot storage to the account.
It still opens, saves, plays and exports. The grade, masks, keys and nested sequences stay as they are, and the Essentials tools keep working on it.
In Depot, on the account’s storage, as files of the Video they belong to. Each Video Pro seat adds its storage to the same quota. Proxies and the render cache are working copies and never count.
On the device first, and on Calisto’s servers when it cannot, or when you choose. A server export sends a notice when it is done, with Publish on it.
The language spoken is detected from the recording, and the transcript and captions are written in it, timed word by word. Translate Captions then makes a caption track in any of 31 languages, at the same times and in the same look, for you to edit; each language is also its own subtitle file.
TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube, over the accounts the business connects. Send to Phone hands a Video to your own phone to post from there.
One editor and one record. A Video is landscape or square and opens in Video; a vertical one is a Clip and opens in Clips. Make Shorts turns a Video’s moments into Clips, and Clips Pro is a seat of its own.
