Logic
BranchesCalisto: a router tries its routes in order, runs every route whose filter passes, and runs the fallback route when none matched.Checked Oct 30, 2026SourceYesYes
Repeat for Each ItemCalisto: a loop runs its steps once for each item of a list, up to 500 items.Checked Oct 30, 2026SourceYesYes
DelaysCalisto: a delay waits for a set time, or until a set time before or after a date in the data, such as two days before a booking starts.Checked Oct 30, 2026SourceYesYes
Wait for Something to HappenCalisto: a wait step holds the run until an event arrives for the same record, such as an alert answered or an approval decided, and takes another path if nothing comes within the time you set (up to 30 days).Checked Oct 30, 2026SourceYesYes
Ask for Approval in a RunCalisto: a run can wait for a decision made in the approval engine and branch on it, but no step sends an approval request to a chosen person.Checked Oct 30, 2026SourceNoYes
Triggers
SchedulesCalisto: an automation runs every few minutes, hours, days or weeks, or on a custom schedule, in the business's own time zone, and one kept to business hours is held until they open.Checked Oct 30, 2026SourceYesYes
Webhook Address per AutomationCalisto: an automation that starts on Webhook received gets its own address. The token is shown once, and a new address stops the old one.Checked Oct 30, 2026SourceYesYes
Integrations
Custom HTTP RequestsCalisto: Custom HTTP sends a request with the method and body you set, to a saved webhook or an address typed in the step.Checked Oct 30, 2026SourceYesYes
Public APIA public REST API does most of what the editor does, over HTTP requests.Checked Oct 30, 2026SourceNoYes
Ready-Made Connectors to Outside Appsn8n lists more than 2,000 integrations. Calisto reaches outside its own apps through Zapier, Make and Custom HTTP.Checked Oct 30, 2026SourceNoYes
Runs
Run HistoryCalisto: the Runs lens shows one row per run, and each run opens to every step with what it received and what it returned.Checked Oct 30, 2026SourceYesYes
Retry a Failed RunCalisto: Retry runs only the failed step again when the run kept where it stopped, otherwise it starts over. A failed run is answered once, even when two people press at the same moment.Checked Oct 30, 2026SourceYesYes
Success Rates Across AutomationsCalisto: Analytics shows runs and failures over the range you pick and the automations failing most, on the desk and a phone.Checked Oct 30, 2026SourceYesYes
Errors
Handle a Failed StepCalisto: any action step can carry its own path for when it fails.Checked Oct 30, 2026SourceYesYes
One Automation That Handles Others' FailuresAn error workflow starts by itself when another workflow fails, and one error workflow can serve many.Checked Oct 30, 2026SourceNoYes
Building
Test on Real Recent EventsCalisto: Test runs the unsaved automation on one of the trigger's last three real events, or on data you paste in, and never saves it.Checked Oct 30, 2026SourceYesYes
Versions and RestoreCalisto: every save is a version, every run is tied to the version it ran, and restoring an older version saves it as a new one.Checked Oct 30, 2026SourceYesYes
TemplatesCalisto: a gallery of ready-made automations becomes a live automation or a draft in one tap, on the desk or a phone.Checked Oct 30, 2026SourceYesYes
Code StepsThe Code node runs JavaScript or Python inside a workflow.Checked Oct 30, 2026SourceNoYes
Reusable Sub-AutomationsOne workflow calls another as a sub-workflow with defined inputs and gets its results back.Checked Oct 30, 2026SourceNoYes
AI
Describe It and AI Builds ItCalisto: write a sentence and the AI lays out a draft automation for you to review. Nothing is switched on from a sentence.Checked Oct 30, 2026SourceYesYes
AI Agents That Use ToolsWorkflows give AI agents tools and memory, with models from several providers and MCP servers.Checked Oct 30, 2026SourceNoYes
Data
Built-In Data TablesData tables store rows inside n8n that workflows save and manage without an outside database. Calisto: an automation can add a row to a Calisto Sheets spreadsheet but cannot look one up.Checked Oct 30, 2026SourceNoYes
Platform
Separate Test and Live EnvironmentsGit-based source control links instances to branches so work moves between environments.Checked Oct 30, 2026SourceNoYes
Self-Hostingn8n runs on the customer's own servers or private cloud, with Docker or npm.Checked Oct 30, 2026SourceNoYes

What moves

Bringing your data from n8n

Your data is read in your own browser and sent to your Calisto account. Calisto never sees your login for the old system.

From an export file

Export your data from n8n and drop the file in. It is read in your browser and mapped onto Calisto.

Any spreadsheet you export from n8n can be mapped onto Calisto, column by column.

Questions about switching

Do my n8n workflows come over?

There is no import of n8n workflows. Many of them are already rules the Calisto apps ship, such as confirmations, reminders and staff notices, which you switch on or edit in Automations. For the rest, start from a template, or describe the automation in a sentence and review the draft.

Can I host it on my own servers?

Calisto runs Automations for you. A business that keeps its data in its own database still gets its scheduled automations, reminders and sequences run against that database like any other.

Can an outside tool start a Calisto automation?

Yes. An automation that starts on Webhook received gets its own address that n8n or any tool posts JSON to, and Custom HTTP sends data back out to any address.

Can I test changes before they go live?

Yes. Test runs the unsaved automation on one of its trigger's last three real events or on data you paste in, every save is a version you can restore, and a draft stays off until you switch it on.
