Logic
BranchesCalisto: a router tries its routes in order, runs every route whose filter passes, and runs the fallback route when none matched.Checked Oct 30, 2026SourceYesYes
Filters Before It RunsCalisto: a trigger's filters are checked before anything runs, and an event that fails them starts nothing and logs nothing.Checked Oct 30, 2026SourceYesYes
Repeat for Each ItemCalisto: a loop runs its steps once for each item of a list, up to 500 items.Checked Oct 30, 2026SourceYesYes
Combine What a Loop ReturnedCalisto: what each pass of a loop returned is gathered into one list that later steps read.Checked Oct 30, 2026SourceYesYes
DelaysCalisto: a delay waits for a set time, or until a set time before or after a date in the data, such as two days before a booking starts.Checked Oct 30, 2026SourceYesYes
Triggers
SchedulesCalisto: an automation runs every few minutes, hours, days or weeks, or on a custom schedule, in the business's own time zone, and one kept to business hours is held until they open.Checked Oct 30, 2026SourceYesYes
Webhook Address per AutomationCalisto: an automation that starts on Webhook received gets its own address. The token is shown once, and a new address stops the old one.Checked Oct 30, 2026SourceYesYes
Integrations
Custom HTTP RequestsCalisto: Custom HTTP sends a request with the method and body you set, to a saved webhook or an address typed in the step.Checked Oct 30, 2026SourceYesYes
Public APIMake's API manages its resources with a user token and scopes.Checked Oct 30, 2026SourceNoYes
Ready-Made Connectors to Outside AppsMake connects to a library of more than 3,500 apps. Calisto reaches outside its own apps through Zapier, Make and Custom HTTP.Checked Oct 30, 2026SourceNoYes
Runs
Run HistoryCalisto: the Runs lens shows one row per run, and each run opens to every step with what it received and what it returned.Checked Oct 30, 2026SourceYesYes
Retry a Failed RunCalisto: Retry runs only the failed step again when the run kept where it stopped, otherwise it starts over. A failed run is answered once, even when two people press at the same moment.Checked Oct 30, 2026SourceYesYes
Errors
Automatic RetriesCalisto: a failed step is retried by itself, on the automation's own setting or the business's default in Settings, Retries.Checked Oct 30, 2026SourceYesYes
Handle a Failed StepCalisto: any action step can carry its own path for when it fails.Checked Oct 30, 2026SourceYesYes
Pause After Repeated ErrorsCalisto: an automation that keeps failing is paused and named Paused after errors on every screen. Switching it back on resets its count, and the business decides whether it pauses at all.Checked Oct 30, 2026SourceYesYes
Building
Test on Real Recent EventsCalisto: Test runs the unsaved automation on one of the trigger's last three real events, or on data you paste in, and never saves it.Checked Oct 30, 2026SourceYesYes
Versions and RestoreCalisto: every save is a version, every run is tied to the version it ran, and restoring an older version saves it as a new one.Checked Oct 30, 2026SourceYesYes
TemplatesCalisto: a gallery of ready-made automations becomes a live automation or a draft in one tap, on the desk or a phone.Checked Oct 30, 2026SourceYesYes
Code StepsMake Code adds JavaScript or Python to a scenario as a step.Checked Oct 30, 2026SourceNoYes
Reusable Sub-AutomationsA parent scenario calls reusable child scenarios, waiting for their outputs or carrying on without them.Checked Oct 30, 2026SourceNoYes
AI
Describe It and AI Builds ItCalisto: write a sentence and the AI lays out a draft automation for you to review. Nothing is switched on from a sentence.Checked Oct 30, 2026SourceYesYes
AI Agents That Use ToolsMake AI Agents use modules, scenarios and MCP tools to carry out work.Checked Oct 30, 2026SourceNoYes
AI Step That Summarizes, Extracts or Sorts TextMake AI Toolkit steps summarize, extract, categorize, translate and read the sentiment of text inside a scenario.Checked Oct 30, 2026SourceNoYes
Data
Built-In Data TablesData stores keep records inside Make that scenarios save, look up and share. Calisto: an automation can add a row to a Calisto Sheets spreadsheet but cannot look one up.Checked Oct 30, 2026SourceNoYes

What moves

Bringing your data from Make

Your data is read in your own browser and sent to your Calisto account. Calisto never sees your login for the old system.

From an export file

Export your data from Make and drop the file in. It is read in your browser and mapped onto Calisto.

Any spreadsheet you export from Make can be mapped onto Calisto, column by column.

Questions about switching

Do my Make scenarios come over?

There is no import of Make scenarios. Many of the automations a business builds in Make already exist in Calisto as rules the apps ship, such as confirmations, reminders and staff notices, which you switch on or edit in Automations. For the rest, start from a template, or describe the automation in a sentence and review the draft.

Can I keep using Make beside Calisto?

Yes. Make is a connector in Automations, set up through a request to Calisto's support team. An automation can trigger a Make scenario, and Make can start a Calisto automation by posting to that automation's own webhook address.

What happens when a run fails?

A failed step is retried by itself on the automation's setting. You can retry just the failed step or start over from the run, and an automation that keeps failing is paused and named Paused after errors until someone switches it back on.

Can I write code or call any API?

Calisto has no code step and no public API. Custom HTTP sends a request to any address with the method and body you set, and each automation can have its own webhook address that an outside tool posts to.
