What moves
Bringing your data from Holded
Your data is read in your own browser and sent to your Calisto account. Calisto never sees your login for the old system.
From an export file
Export your data from Holded and drop the file in. It is read in your browser and mapped onto Calisto.
Chart of accounts
Your accounts, with their codes and types. Bring these first: everything else names them.
Customers
The people and companies you invoice.
Suppliers
The people and companies who bill you.
Trial balance at your switch date
Every account’s balance on the day your books start in Ledger. It becomes your opening balances.
Unpaid invoices at your switch date
Invoices customers still owe you on the switch date, with what is left to pay. They are already in your trial balance; a payment after the switch clears them.
Unpaid bills at your switch date
Bills you still owe on the switch date, with what is left to pay. They are already in your trial balance; a payment after the switch clears them.
Journal history
Journal lines, if you want your history in Ledger. Lines dated before your switch date are kept for reference (your trial balance already holds them); later ones post.

Questions about switching
Do my Holded books come over?
Yes, once. Bring your books reads the export files Holded gives you, in your own browser: the chart of accounts, customers and suppliers, the trial balance on your switch date as opening balances, the invoices and bills still open then, and your journal history. Each account's likely role is suggested for you to confirm.
Can I keep Holded connected to Calisto?
No. Calisto keeps no connection or sync with other accounting software and stores no login for it. The books move in once, and from then on they are kept in Ledger. What you hand your accountant comes from Reports for your accountant.
Does Calisto send invoices to TicketBAI or VERI*FACTU?
Calisto sends fiscal documents through the fiscal provider you connect with your own account, and each document goes out as a rule in Automations. Calisto does not fill in official tax forms or send your VAT records to the tax agency: Ledger prepares the VAT report for your accountant.
Does Calisto pay my bills or run payroll?
Ledger records money after it moves: it marks a bill paid and from which account, but it never sends a payment. Payroll runs in Calisto Workforce, which posts one balanced payroll journal to the books.
