Bringing your data from KineMaster
Your data is read in your own browser and sent to your Calisto account. Calisto never sees your login for the old system.
From an export file
Export your data from KineMaster and drop the file in. It is read in your browser and mapped onto Calisto.
Any spreadsheet you export from KineMaster can be mapped onto Calisto, column by column.
Moving from KineMaster
Questions about switching
Do my KineMaster projects come over?
No. Clips has no import of another editor's projects. Export your finished videos from KineMaster and drop them on Home; each video dropped on Home becomes a Clip with it placed.
Can I edit on my phone?
Yes. The phone editor fills the screen with a vertical preview and a multi-clip timeline under a centered playhead, with pinch zoom, trim handles and press and hold to reorder.
Does Clips work without a connection?
Home and the Library open with no signal and show the Clips last read on that device, when you keep Clips there. Making or editing a Clip needs a connection, because its videos are in Depot.
Where do my finished videos go?
Exports land on your account's Depot storage, and Publish sends a video to TikTok, Instagram Reels or YouTube Shorts from inside Clips over your own connected accounts.
