What moves

Bringing your data from DaVinci Resolve

Your data is read in your own browser and sent to your Calisto account. Calisto never sees your login for the old system.

From an export file

Export your data from DaVinci Resolve and drop the file in. It is read in your browser and mapped onto Calisto.

Any spreadsheet you export from DaVinci Resolve can be mapped onto Calisto, column by column.

Questions about switching

Can I bring my DaVinci Resolve projects?

No. Video has no import of another editor’s project or timeline. Export your finished videos from DaVinci Resolve and drop them on Video’s Home: each one becomes a Video with it placed, and its footage lands in Depot.

Do I need to install anything?

No. Video runs in the browser on a desk and in the Calisto app on a phone, on the same Video. Exports run on the device, or on Calisto’s servers when you choose.

Is the color grading the same?

Video Pro grades with color wheels, levels, curves, LUTs and Auto Color, read on the waveform, parade, vectorscope and histogram. There is no node-based compositing, HDR delivery or codec choice.
