Acceptable Use Policy
This Acceptable Use Policy ("Policy") sets out what you may and may not do on the Calisto Pro website at pro.calistoco.com and the Calisto Pro applications (together, the "Site"). It applies to every visitor, user, and subscriber. This Policy supplements the Terms of Service and the Subscriber Agreement.
1. Our Commitment to Compliance
It is the intention of Calisto to comply with all laws and regulations in all jurisdictions where we operate. Where the law of your country grants you rights that cannot be waived or limited by contract, those rights apply and override any conflicting provision of this Policy.
2. General Conduct
You must use the Site lawfully and in a manner that does not harm Calisto, its infrastructure, or any other person's use of the Site. You must not:
- Use the Site for any activity that is illegal in the jurisdiction where you operate or where the activity has effect
- Impersonate any person, business, or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person, business, or entity
- Collect, harvest, or store personal data about other users or their customers without a lawful basis
- Interfere with, disrupt, or overload the Site or its underlying infrastructure
- Circumvent access controls, rate limits, or security measures
- Use the Site to send unsolicited commercial messages (spam)
- Share, resell, or sublicense your account credentials or access to any Calisto product without prior written authorization
3. Content Standards
3.1. You are responsible for all content you upload, create, publish, transmit, or store through the Site ("Your Content"). Calisto does not pre-screen Your Content except where stated in this Policy or required by law.
3.2. Your Content must not:
- Contain child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any depiction of a minor in a sexual context
- Promote terrorism, incite violence, or contain credible threats against any person or group
- Constitute harassment, stalking, bullying, or targeted abuse of any individual
- Contain malware, ransomware, phishing content, or any code designed to damage or gain unauthorized access to systems
- Infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party, including copyright, trademark, and trade secrets
- Contain personal data about another individual without their consent or a lawful basis for processing it
- Constitute fraud, deceptive trade practices, or impersonation of another business
- Violate export controls or sanctions laws
3.3. Calisto removes or restricts access to content that violates this Policy or that Calisto is required by law to remove, including content identified through the notice-and-action process required by the EU Digital Services Act.
4. Adult Content
4.1. Adult content is permitted on the Site only within the Content Creators product, only by subscribers who have completed the Class A activation process, and only under the terms of Addendum A (Adult Content).
4.2. Adult content published through the Class A process is served exclusively on the creator's own verified custom domain. Adult content must never appear on any Calisto-branded domain.
4.3. Adult content uploaded, published, or transmitted through any other part of the Site, or by any subscriber who has not completed the Class A activation process, is a violation of this Policy and will be removed.
4.4. Even within the Class A process, the following content is prohibited without exception:
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any depiction of a minor in a sexual context
- Non-consensual intimate imagery
- Content depicting or promoting sexual violence, coercion, or trafficking
- Content that does not comply with 18 USC §2257 record-keeping requirements
- Content served to viewers in jurisdictions where adult content is prohibited, as defined by the geoblock deny list maintained by Calisto
5. Infrastructure and Technical Use
5.1. Automated access to the Site (bots, scrapers, crawlers) is permitted only with express written consent from Calisto.
5.2. You must not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of any part of the Site.
5.3. API access is subject to published rate limits. Exceeding rate limits or circumventing throttling mechanisms is a violation of this Policy.
5.4. If you connect your own backend infrastructure to the Site under the Subscriber Agreement, you are responsible for the security, configuration, and compliance of that infrastructure. Calisto is not responsible for content processed or stored on infrastructure you operate.
6. Enforcement
6.1. Calisto may take any of the following actions in response to a violation of this Policy:
- Remove or restrict access to the content
- Suspend your account or access to specific features
- Terminate your account
- Report the violation to law enforcement or regulatory authorities where required by law
6.2. For content that poses an immediate risk of harm — including CSAM, credible threats of violence, or content subject to a law enforcement request — Calisto acts immediately without prior notice.
6.3. For all other violations, Calisto notifies you of the violation and the action taken. You may dispute the action by opening a support ticket at https://pro.calistoco.com/support/tickets.
6.4. Calisto is not obligated to monitor all content on the Site. Calisto's decision not to act on a particular piece of content does not constitute approval of that content.
7. Reporting Violations
To report content or conduct that you believe violates this Policy, open a support ticket at https://pro.calistoco.com/support/tickets or, for content hosted in the European Union, submit a notice through the Digital Services Act reporting mechanism available on the page where the content appears.
