The model

Dropbox Sign sells a seat. Calisto Sign sells an envelope.

A seat charges for the people who might send. An envelope charges for the ones that go out.

WHAT A SEAT DOES NOT COVER

The seat is the start of the bill, not the end of it.

What Dropbox Sign prices separately, beside what a Calisto envelope already carries.

  • The second seat

Standard starts at two seats. A solo operator who needs branding and bulk send pays for a colleague who does not exist. A Calisto envelope is one rate, however many people send.

  • The API is a separate plan

Embedded signing on Dropbox Sign is sold as its own API plan. Calisto Sign has no API tier — and says so in the table — because the apps it signs for are already in the same system.

  • Unlimited is still a seat

Unlimited requests are unlimited for the seat that holds them. On Calisto, the quiet month costs nothing and the busy month costs exactly its envelopes.

Honest answers

Leaving Dropbox Sign

Do my signed documents move across?

Completed envelopes generally stay with Dropbox Sign, because their certificates are theirs. Download them before you close the account; anything you send from Calisto Sign carries its own certificate and audit trail.

Can I bring my templates?

Templates rebuild with drag-and-drop field placement on the PDF you already have. Field positions are in PDF points, so a template you place once is exact on every send.

I am mid-contract with Dropbox Sign. What happens to the rest of it?

Upload the contract from the offer above. We read the term, the fee and the notice period, and what leaving costs you is held as credit in your Calisto wallet, released once you show us it is cancelled.

What does an envelope cost?

The pricing section on this page reads the live catalogue and is the authority on the figure. One envelope holds every document and every signer the agreement needs, and is charged once, when it is sent; drafting and placing fields cost nothing.

What does Dropbox Sign do that Calisto Sign does not?

The table above says so plainly. Qualified electronic signatures, a developer API and native connectors to third-party CRMs are theirs; the record the signature belongs to is ours.
